The Man in Blue portfolio goes live
23 July 2004
A little over time, but here eventually: my new portfolio site. Hopefully it pushes the right boundaries and breaks the right moulds.
As a portfolio site its main aim is to show off what I have done in the past, but as a personal site it also shows off what I can do in the present, and hopefully gives you a glimpse of the future. If you'd like to learn more about its development, you can read all the details on my weblog. I'll be adding more portfolio items over the coming weeks, so if you like, feel free to pop back round, but mind the carpet.
Talk on creativity & Web Standards delivered to Web Standards Group
28 June 2004
Russ Weakley from the Web Standards Group approached me to give a speech at one of their Melbourne gatherings and I timidly obliged. The talk focused on the intersection between traditional creativity and Web Standards – how it influences your thoughts during the design process, and what is capable using the technology. I've summarised the first, more philosophical half of my talk in a weblog entry, while the second half focused on the design of what you see around you: my new portfolio site.
